Honored the workers of the EPP "Luch" - graduates of the Agrarian University

On November 17, in the village Padinskoye in the Novoselitsky District, the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of one of the largest and successfully developing seed organizations of the Stavropol Territory - the experimental production plant "Luch".

The head of an experimental production plant, whose main activity is the production multiplication of seeds of higher reproductions of grain crops, is Grigory Dontsov, graduate and Honorary Professor of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The farm was established on the basis of the collective farm "Zarya", in the end of 1992 it was reorganized into the Association of Farmers. At the disposal of "Luch" at that time was only 1044 acres of arable land. For a quarter of a century the economy has consistently increased the area of crops, and now the total area of farmland is more than 22 thousand hectares.

Open Company EPP "Luch" is a part of club AGRO-300, in structure of Noncommercial organization "Partnership of breeders and seed-growers in Stavropol Territory". The activities of the farm are constantly introducing the most advanced agrotechnologies, the complex for the protection of cereals is fully observed. The qualitative seed material of EPP "Luch" is highly valued not only in Stavropol, but also in neighboring regions and CIS countries. In addition to seed production of winter and spring wheat and barley, cereals, legumes and other crops are grown. In August of this year, the plant for post-harvest seed preparation was launched on the basis of the enterprise.

Employees of the Stavropol State Agrarian University have fruitfully cooperated with the EPP "Luch" in the field of development of resource-saving technologies of crop cultivation, drawing up schemes for plant nutrition, testing of new types and forms of mineral fertilizers for all these long years. Every year the "Days of the Field", meetings are jointly held, production workers are involved, who participate in the conduct of advanced training courses for students. Teachers of the Agrarian University undergo internships in the core areas.

On the anniversary day the agrarians were congratulated by the head of the region - Governor Vladimir Vladimirov, Representative of the Governor for Stavropol Territory Alexander Nagaev, Minister of Agriculture of the Territory Vladimir Sitnikov, Chairman of the Territory Duma Gennady Yagubov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol Territory Nikolai Velikdan and other officials.

The rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev arrived to congratulate the strategic partners and fellow-jubilees on the event together with the representatives of the university collective. Warmly congratulating the management and employees of the EPP "Luch" with the anniversary, he noted that the head of the farm G.F. Dontsov, the chief agronomist A. F. Dontsov and most of the enterprise's specialists are graduates of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Vladimir Ivanovich also stressed that EPP "Luch" is the best seed farm in the region, which deservedly bears the honorary title "The Economy of High Cultivation of Agriculture," and noted its great role in obtaining 10.6 million tons of grain in the Stavropol Territory in 2017.
