The results of the “Year of Ecology” and the prospects for improving the environmental situation in the Stavropol region

The representatives of the two Agricultural faculties of the University took part in the round table held on December, 5 in the Duma of the Stavropol region, chaired by I. A. Bogachev, head of Committee on agrarian and land issues, environment and ecology.

Representatives of the Duma of the Stavropol region at the round table were Viktor Goncharov, Viktor Nadein, Anatoly Zhdanov, Victor Lozovoy, Dmitry Shuvaev; from the Government of the Stavropol region, the representative of the Governor of Stavropol region Sergey Pustoselov; from government and educational organizations – Eugeny Draganov.

Reports on the results of the “Year of Ecology” by the Minister of natural resources and environmental protection of the Stavropol region Andrey Khlopyanov, Deputy Minister of housing and communal services of Stavropol region Bogdan Zabelin, Deputy Minister of education and youth policy of Stavropol region Diana Rud’eva.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the faculty of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture, Professor of the RAS A. N. Esaulko and Professor of ecology and landscape architecture S. V. Okrut.

Alexander Esaulko made a report on the main results of holding the Year of ecology in the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the University's role in the formation of a "green" image of the region subject to the profile orientation. The report reflects the participation of scientists of University of agriculture in implementation of the strategy of development of agriculture in Stavropol region through the introduction of biological agriculture.
