- The schedule was dense, and it was extremely difficult to cover all sectional meetings, - says Julia Mandra. - Nevertheless, participation in such an important event allowed to study the experience of other regions in solving environmental issues, to exchange contacts with existing environmentalists, to voice your position on the issues of development of environmental education, application of scientific developments for the preservation of nature.

Special attention was paid to the issues of energy and industrial ecology, global climate change. The key themes of the forum agenda were discussion of the Strategy of Ecological Safety of Russia until 2025, social and environmental responsibility of business, stimulation of innovations in the field of environmental technologies.

Following the results of the three days of the Congress, a final resolution was adopted that consolidates the positions and achievements of the largest experts in the field of ecology, scientists from related fields, businessmen, public activists, politicians of Russia and the world. Thus, the general public was able to take an active part in the process of forming state environmental policy in Russia.

- It is important to note that Stavropol State Agrarian University was first represented at such a large-scale event, - says Julia Mandra. - And of course, participation in the Vth All-Russian Environmental Protection Congress will bring "fresh" ideas to the actualization of the contents of profile disciplines for students in the field "Ecology and Nature Management", to determine the vector of development of scientific research and cooperation with strategic partners in the field of nature protection and rational nature management. Moreover, in 2017 SSAU became the best regional "green" university in the South of Russia, and Stavropol Territory itself is considered one of the most active regions of the country in carrying out activities within the framework of the Year of Ecology. And the Congress will give us even greater impetus for the development of the ecological direction of university activity.
