WorldSkills masters of Stavropol region met with the head of the region

Participants and experts of the national and world stages of professional skills championships in accordance with WorldSkills standards were invited to the meeting by the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov.

The meeting on December 21 was attended by members, experts and coaches of the Russian National Team participated in the WorldSkills World Qualification Championship, as well as participants of the National Championship "Young Professionals" in 2017 - members of the national team of Stavropol Territory.

Among them there was the student of the Faculty of Farm Mechanization of Stavropol State Agrarian University Fyodor Zavyalik, who represented Russia in the national team at WorldSkills World Cup in Abu Dhabi and competed in "Making Prototypes." Other students-agrarians-leaders of the WorldSkills Russia movement were also present: the winner of the V National Championship "Young Professionals-2017" Maxim Korolyov and the prize-winner Anastasia Belmasova, the winner of the 1st National Interuniversity Championship of WorldSkills Russia Dmitry Viselev and the prize-winners Artem Seminsky and Yulia Kostrykina. Among the invitees there were Candidates of Sciences, associate professors of SSAU - head of the Center for Youth Innovation Creativity "FablabVector" Egor Kulayev and federal experts in the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District - Denis Kalugin (on the competence "Prototyping") and Anna Ivolga (on the competence "Hotel Administration").

The WorldSkills movement is considered to be a progressive tool for training high-class personnel in new high-tech industries. Stavropol youth showed themselves well in prestigious competitions in professional skills, which was noted in the speech by the governor. He thanked all participants of WorldSkills for high achievements and stressed that the students showed excellent results in the directions demanded in the region's economy.

- By participating in such competitions, you raise your own "bar" as specialists in the labor market, declare your ability to compete at the world level. I expect that you will realize all your knowledge and skills on Stavropol land, - the Governor appealed to the young "professionals" of the province.

Vladimir Vladimirov presented thanksgiving letters to the participants of the WorldSkills movement and wished everyone to successfully perform at the next world championship, which will be held in 2019 in the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan.

According to the forecasts of the Ministry of Labor of Stavropol Territory, in the next seven years the labor market will require up to 120,000 specialists a year. Of these, 64% - for vacancies with a high level of skills.
