From an algorithm to a software product for workers in the agro-industrial complex

Received an author's certificate of state registration of the computer program, which allows to make the right decision on the use of chemical protection for winter wheat.

Carrying out a phytosanitary survey to identify various pests of agricultural crops requires attention and thoroughness. It should be borne in mind that the vital activity of insects depends entirely on a number of different factors.

Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Plant Protection of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture, candidate of biological sciences Natalia Nikolaevna Glazunova, based on long-term studies, developed an algorithm and created a software product that allows calculating the number of major pests of winter wheat and their entomophages in different phases of ontogeny, depending on abiotic, biotic and anthropogenic factors.

At present, the author's certificate of state registration of the computer program has been received. It is intended for workers of the AIC and provides data on the morphological and biological characteristics of pest species and their entomophages in the form of a reference book, recommendations for making decisions on the application of chemical protection products for winter wheat crops. The program will also be used in the educational process in the training of agricultural personnel.

According to Associate Professor NN Glazunova, work in this direction is continuing: software products are being developed to calculate the number of pests and entomophages in various crops, including rape.
