On February 14, on the basis of Stavropol State Agrarian University, the regional stage of the VI intellectual game “Beginner Farmer”" was held for the teams of state budget professional educational institutions of the Stavropol Territory.
The composition of the expert council evaluating the business plans of the participants in the intellectual game included: Morozov Vitaliy Yuryevich, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Work of Stavropol State Agrarian University, PhD in Veterinary Sciences, Professor; Ivanov Dmitry Vladimirovich, Head of the Scientific and Innovation Training Centre of Stavropol State Agrarian University, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor; Zinchenko Elena Viktorovna, deputy head of the department for the development of small forms of management in the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory; representative of the regional branch of JSC “Rosselkhozbank” Grigoryev Artem Alexandrovich; the chairman of the Stavropol regional branch of the “Russian Union of Rural Youth” Igor Devedorkin; PhD in Economic Sciences - Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit of SSAU Tatiana Nikolayevna Uryadova and Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and World Economy Alexander Vladimirovich Tenishchev.
According to the specially developed Regulations, the evaluation of the projects of “beginning farmers” was carried out according to several criteria.
Initially, the contestants demonstrated a presentation of their business idea, demonstrating a slide show. Then during the improvised “duel” the representatives of the teams asked each other questions in the field of business planning and management in the format of programs of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. Then they had to give blitz answers to the questions of the expert jury concerning their business plan. The jury was also interested in how knowledgeable the guys are about the existing programs of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to support cooperation. In addition, the proposed business situation in which the head of farm and his team must make decisions in accordance with applicable Russian legislation, as well as the current economic situation, associated, for example, with the crisis, the task of import substitution or market capture by networks , which was to be solved legally and professionally. It was necessary to prepare and demonstrate an electronic advertising poster with the image of the trademark of the manufactured product containing the geographic place of origin of the goods, the farm’s logo and the corresponding advertising appeal.
I must say that the three teams that took part in the game - from the Aleksandrovsky Agricultural College, the Praskoveisk Agrotechnical College and the State Agrotechnical College of the village of Moscowskoe of the Stavropol Territory, were thoroughly prepared. So, the students of the Alexandrovsky College of Agriculture in the staff of Avagimyan Gayane, Tyshchenko Elena and Khalikov Rustam, under the leadership of the head of the Farmers Union Zarochentseva Eugenia, presented the business plan of the farm “Zarya”. They devoted their business plan to the realization of the most important task in the livestock sector, having decided to implement the project for growing and fattening the Hereford calves, using the economic and natural resources of the Stavropol Territory.
Head of the Farm “Tsypa” Ivan Sulym together with Maxim Chern and Alexandra Chernaya study at the State Agrotechnical College of the village of Moscowskoe and strive for an impeccable production of agricultural products. They protected the project to grow broilers for meat with the use of healthy food without antibiotics and other additives; this will be facilitated by the introduction of a special poultry complex.
The team of the Praskoveysky Agrotechnical College as part of Biluga Dmitry, Busla Lilia, Kidovskaya Yuliya at the head of the farm Sidelnikov Ivan are ready to implement the project of a goose farm for 1000 heads for growing on meat by walking technology. In addition to geese, it is also planned to grow and grow another agricultural bird: chickens, turkeys, ducks, and guinea fowl. It is assumed wholesale and retail trade in poultry meat and by-products. It was this project as a result of which the jury awarded the I diploma and recommended for further participation in the final of the intellectual game “Beginner Farmer”, which will be held in Moscow in April 2018.
