Representatives of LLC "Syngenta" continued the course of problematic lectures for students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

On the 12th of March, the communications manager at LLC “Syngenta” in Russia, Anton Pushkarev, delivered a lecture to students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources studying in the direction of Agronomy. The meeting was attended by the dean of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. N. Esaulko, deputy dean for academic work, assistant professor V.A. Stukalo and leading teachers of the Department of Chemistry and Plant Protection.

Anton Pushkarev noted that modern agriculture needs not only traditional agrarian professions and specialties. Currently, the industry is actively using new technologies, so it requires personnel who can work with them skillfully. Operators of automated agricultural machinery must come to the agrosphere - they have to manage drones, agrobots, sensor systems and other complex devices. Demanded city-farmers are specialists who are able to equip and service agricultural enterprises in urban conditions. In addition, workers are required with classification at the junction of the two specialties. For example, agronomists-economists, which ensure the competitiveness of products and the effectiveness of the company. Agroinformatics are in demand - automation of agricultural production depends on them.

Artificial intelligence, robots, drones will become even more widespread in the domestic agro-industrial complex. That is why the demand for highly qualified specialists who can work with such complex equipment will only grow.
