The youth of the region learned how to win the President's grant

26.03.2018

On March 23, a training seminar of the Foundation for Presidential Grants was held at the site of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Along with the representatives of the agrarian university, more than 100 public organizations of the Stavropol region took part in it.

The seminar was organized by the Interregional Centre for Public Initiatives “North Caucasus”. In the role of invited expert at the event, the head of the Regional Development Department of the Presidential Grants Fund Natalia Aliyeva worked. She noted the positive trend in the field of grant applications to the Stavropol region. If two years ago only 12 regional organizations became grantees, in 2017 23 already became owners of financial support.

Participants of the event learned about the principles of the grant policy, the rules for submitting the grant application and the criteria for its evaluation; received recommendations on the correct description of the project and the formulation of its budget; they listened to consultations on the preparation of reports and were able to get answers to questions of interest to them. All this, the organizers are sure, will help to exceed the results of the previous year by the number of presidential grants received by the Stavropol organizations.

The seminar was opened by the head of the department for interaction with civil society institutions of the Stavropol Territory Government Office Vladimir Vysheslavov and the head of the project “Campus” of public associations of Stavropol Ivan Skipersky. They noted that the regional authorities are always ready to cooperate with and support regional non-profit organizations. The moderator of the event was the chairman of the presidium of the Youth Expert Council of the Stavropol Territory Malik Kimbarov. This seminar was the last in a series of events of the Foundation for Presidential Grants, held this spring in the North Caucasus. Over two months, more than 500 representatives of NGOs of the North Caucasus Federal District took part in meetings with the Foundation’s experts in the city of Cherkessk, Magas and Nalchik.

A lot of useful from the seminar was learned also by the future agrarians, representing various youth associations of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, because in the future their projects can lay the foundation for the creation of a public organization.

- This is not only the correct formulation of the idea itself, but also the “secrets” for the implementation of projects, - the student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, head of the Volunteer Stations Headquarters of SSAU Inna Kuliyeva shares her impressions of the seminar. - Many newcomers in the grant activity have come to a very important understanding that the main result of the project is the improvement of the social environment. Ask yourself the question: “What did my project give to the society?” If the pros have appeared, you are on the right track! We are comparing our course in this way.
