The victorious sports season was opened by Yakov Avdeev, a student of the Electric Power Department of the Agrarian University.
In Volokolamsk, Moscow Region, the Lama Sports Palace hosted the Championship and the Russian Crossbow Arena in Indoor. More than 160 participants from 19 regions of the country took part in the competitions.
In exercise AP-18 (field crossbow, distance 18 meters, 60 shots), the student of the 2nd year of the Electric Power Faculty of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Yakov Avdeev won a victory among juniors. With the result of 598 points out of 600 he became the champion of Russia. The main competitors for the student-agrarians were athletes from St. Petersburg, Moscow and Moscow Region.
It should be noted that the sport season for crossbowmen has just begun. The next All-Russian competition will be held April 28-29 in Kolomna. This tournament will begin preparations for the main start of 2018 - the European Championships, which will be held in Pärnu (Estonia) from June 27 to July 3.
