Money doesn't bring happiness, but financial literacy!

A fascinating inter-faculty tournament on financial literacy was held on April 11 at the Agrarian University. During the year, teams from all faculties sought to reach the final, but the main award - the Grand Prix took the Faculty of accounting finance.

The event within the framework of the regional program "Raising the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in the Stavropol Territory for 2014-2018" was organized by the Department of Financial Management and Banking of the Accounting and Finance Faculty.

The unusual tournament was opened by the coordinator of the regional program Nadezhda Ivanovna Gerasimenko, the dean of the accounting finance Faculty Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova and the head of the chair of Financial management and banking Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova who wished the students success in the final struggle.

Throughout the academic year, students of 9 faculties of the Agrarian University took part in qualifying tournaments in the form of master classes, trainings, business games and interactive exam conducted by the students of the volunteer team «Financier". The most worthy and active students came together in the final of the board game "Money doesn't bring happiness ".

The main objective of the tournament is to spread financial literacy and develop students' practical skills in using financial services to increase their own financial well-being. Thanks to the game "Money doesn't bring happiness ", all the participants demonstrated profound knowledge in the field of personal finance, erudition and ingenuity, and well-coordinated teamwork enabled them quickly, efficiently and with good spirits master difficult economic concepts and train in managing their personal budgets.

In a tough competition, leaders were identified - financially competent first-year students who completed the tournament with a minimum gap. Honorary third place was taken by students of faculties of veterinary medicine and technological management, second place went to students of the electric power faculty, but on the 1st place the team of the economic faculty came out. But the main prize of the tournament was still the Grand Prix, which the jury awarded the team of the Accounting and FinanceFaculty. Winners and prize-winners received memorable prizes, diplomas and cups, and all participants - new knowledge, invaluable experience and a charge of positive emotions!
