Business visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan

On April 16, 2018, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the Stavropol State Agrarian University within the framework of cooperation and exchange of experience.

Guests of the Stavropol State Agrarian University were representatives of leading agricultural universities:

· Rector of the Andijan Agricultural Institute, Professor Abduvasikov Abduaziz Abdulazizovich.

· Deputy Director of the Nukus Branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University Absattarov Nietbay Allanbergenovich.

· Head of the Teaching and Methodical Department of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, Maruf Atabaev.

· Associate Professor of the Plant Growing Department of the Andijan Agricultural Institute Iliesbek Usmonov.

Opening the meeting the rector of the State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev thanked the foreign guests for choosing the university as a strategic partner and expressed hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation between universities.

The main objectives of the visit are the expansion and strengthening of cooperation between our universities, the growth of academic and scientific mobility, the implementation of joint projects and programs, and professional development of the teaching staff.

On April 16, during an organized excursion, the delegation was acquainted with the faculties and directions of scientific developments of the leading scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Guests from Uzbekistan noted the high level of the material and technical base of the university, they were impressed with the scientific achievements and experimental developments of specialized laboratories of the Agrarian University. During the visit, the Russian experience of training personnel for the agro-industrial complex was studied, as well as the questions of admission to agricultural universities and the organization of training and production practices for students.

The outcome of the meeting was the conclusion of a memorandum on cooperation between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the three leading universities of Uzbekistan: the Tashkent State Agrarian University, the Andijan Agricultural Institute and the branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University in the city of Nukus.

This visit will be an excellent opportunity for establishing strong business contacts and a new platform for strengthening ties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
