At the Faculty of Economics, a meeting of graduates and students took place. Within the framework of the round table "Theory, experience, practice...", the issues of the demand for young specialists in the labor market, the formation of their professional competencies, and the prospects for employment in various spheres of the region's economy were discussed.
The organizer of the round table was the Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, the senior lecturer of the Department of Economic Theory and Economy of Agrarian and Industrial Complex Yulia Victorovna Rybasova.
Communication with the future economists was begun by the chief specialist of the Public-Private Partnership Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory Alexander Glushko, who spoke in detail about the peculiarities of economic work in the system of state bodies, about knowledge and skills needed to solve current work tasks, about personal qualities, helping to build a career of a young specialist.
The topic of employment and professional demand for graduates of economic direction in government authorities was continued by the State Tax Inspector of the Office of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Stavropol Territory Ekaterina Novikova. The high level of theoretical preparation, work capacity, motivation, desire to penetrate deeply and deal with the most complex issues – these are the qualities that, in her opinion, will allow novice economists to grow and form their professional reputation.
The need for confident use of modern computer technologies, the ability to work with information, knowledge of a foreign language and a passion for the profession, in the opinion of Inna Belak, a logistics specialist of the trading company “KOFKO Resources”, are integral components that allowed her to confirm her competence and self-realization in the sphere of international agribusiness, which attracted her from the student's bench.
Maria Stepanskaya, a specialist at the “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol” branch, also spoke about her experience in applying the knowledge gained at the Faculty of Economics, stressing the importance not only of professional qualities, but also interpersonal skills, team work skills, and conscientious attitude to her work.
Perhaps, one of the most unusual stories of professional achievements was shared with the students by a fashion clothes designer, co-owner of "Rebel school", producer of the children's model school "TorDeti" Daria Strahova. While developing her own business, Daria gives importance to understanding economic trends and directions for long-term development, the ability to responsibly treat her work and team, and desire to create for the benefit of society.
The honorary guests-experts in the round table were: Natalia Vladimirovna Bannikova, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and World Economy; Natalia Valerievna Vorobyova, Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship and World Economy; Svetlana Vasilievna Alivanova, Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of the Agroindustrial Complex. Sharing their own experiences and actively participating in the conversation, they helped students to take a fresh look at the prospects of their future profession.
An interesting and memorable moment of the meeting was an interactive experiment for participants of the round table on the ranking of priority personal qualities and professional competencies necessary for the economist. Despite some differences, in general, both the alumni and student teams agreed that In the ranking of competencies, the possession of theoretical knowledge in professional activity should be on the first place, and among the personal qualities, indisputable leadership belongs to the ability to learn.
Exchange of experience, assistance in professional self-identification, increased interest and motivation in training - these and many other tasks were solved during the round table that opened a cycle of meetings between the graduates of the Economic Faculty and the students majoring in economics, who are certain that the higher economic education in Stavropol State Agrarian University is not only a pledge of a successful career, but also a life guide that allows you to achieve financial well-being and self-realization.
