The 4th year students of Accounting and Finance faculty of direction "Economics", profile "Finance and credit" Bukhantsov Sergey, Chincharauli Mikhail, Mikhnenko Elena and the 3rd year student Lebedeva Elena under the guidance of teachers of the Department "Finance, Credit and Insurance" - associate Professor Alexander Gladilin and assistant Alexander Smagin took part in the final stage of the annual all-Russian student Olympiad " securities Market – 2018", which took place on the 20th of April in 2018 on the basis of North-Caucasian Federal University with the support of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation, JSC "Moscow Exchange", JSC IC "ZERICH Capital Management" (Moscow).
The main objective of the Olympiad is to improve the quality of training of highly qualified personnel for the financial markets of Russia. It is designed to help students raise their level of financial literacy, as well as to develop practical knowledge and skills to work in the stock market.
The all-Russian annual Olympiad started on the 25th of February in 2018. Participation in it involves the passage of six stages – three absentee and three full-time. The results of three correspondence stages has been chosen to participate in face-to-face stage.
293 applications of students from 26 universities of the Russian Federation were submitted to the Olympiad. All of them took part in three absentee stages, the results of which reached the final 40 people.
Opening a full time stage Director of the Institute of Economics and Management of the North Caucasus Federal University L. I. Usvitsky presented to the jury and thanked the students for participating in the Olympics.
The competition was held in personal and team competitions. Personal credit included testing the basic qualification exam for financial market specialists and the practical part – the analysis of the investment strategy. In the team competition, the participants had to analyze the level of development of the financial market in the region and present it in a presentation format.
Members of the jury were: the head of department on work with brokerage companies, JSC "Moscow exchange" Valery Skotnikov, Director for development of JSC IC "capital Management" Vladimir Starkov, Deputy General Director for investment analysis of JSC IC "Capital Management" Andrei Vernikov, an analyst at JSC IC "capital Management" Elena Shishkina, the Director of "Broker Centre" Lyudmila Pustynnikova.
At the end of the Olympiad the 4th year student of Accounting and Finance faculty of StGAU Sergey Bukhantsov was awarded a diploma in the nomination "Exchange trading" and a valuable gift – a tablet. All participants of the Olympiad were awarded with diplomas.
