On the 28th of April in 2018, the annual traditional meeting of the Regional Council of Veterans of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, workers of the rear, children of war and veterans of labor of the Stavropol Territory dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Stavropol Agrouniversity .
Such a well-organized and patriotic event was attended by such well-known and outstanding personalities as the Chairman of the Veterans' Council of the Veterans Alexey Alekseyevich Gonochenko, the Mayor of Stavropol Jatdoev Andrey Khasanovich, the Rector of the StGAU, the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Trukhachev Vladimir Ivanovich.
And yet the main actors of this meeting were the participants of the Great Patriotic War Zakharchenko Pavel Sergeevich, the tanker participating in the capture of Berlin, Ponomarenko Alexander Sergeevich, Bezhanova Julietta Georgievna, Buckkov Nikolai Andreevich, Fisenko Ekaterina Konstantinovna.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans Gonochenko A.A., who noted the great contribution of the Stavropol people in the Great Patriotic War, on the battlefields of which about 170 thousand of our compatriots died, who sacrificed their lives for such a long-awaited and Great Victory over the fascist plague.
Head of the city of Stavropol Jatdoev Andrey Hasanovich expressed deep gratitude to those who saved the life of our Fatherland and, overcoming inhuman trials, to this day, despite the age, remained young souls and so loving life.
Rector of StGAU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Trukhachev Vladimir Ivanovich stressed that we remembered and will not only remember but also honor the great feat of the fathers in our affairs, actions and accomplishments, thereby giving them a worthy tribute and affirming that we continue faithfully and truthfully their heroic work of serving the Fatherland.
In the brilliant performance of the participant, who reached the lair of fascism-Berlin, Zakharchenko Pavel Sergeevich, various heroic episodes of the war were cited.
Chairman of the Council of veterans of the Leninsky district Sereda Yevgeny Ivanovich proposed to honor the memory of all the participants of the Great Patriotic War, the dead, and those who died after the war.
During the whole event, young talents of amateur art of StGAU perfectly performed songs dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
All participants of this magnificent meeting received such a vital energy, vivacity, warm attention of those around them. And, probably, the most important thing that the participants of the event carried out is that you can look with optimism and calmness in tomorrow - the fate of our Motherland in the reliable hands of those who worthily continue their heroic cause of selfless service to the Fatherland.
