Representatives of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine took part in the Qualification Championship of the Don State Technical University in accordance with WorldSkills standards. Associate Professor of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology Kireev Ivan Valentinovich was appointed the chief expert, and the post-graduate student of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology Tatyana Sergeevna Denisenko is an expert in the competence of R56 “Veterinary”.
From 3 to 6 May students from the Don State Technical University, Stavropol State Agrarian University and Belgorod State Agrarian University named after V.Ya. Gorin competed in the ability to perform laboratory studies and veterinary and sanitary examination of animal and vegetable products, clinical diagnostics in animals, demonstrated skills of obstetrics, evaluation of seed biological material and performing surgical operations. The competence of the students was assessed by 15 experts from four regions of Russia. During the championship, the rector of the Don State Technical University, Professor Besarion Chohovich Meskhi noted the special importance of the profession of a veterinarian in ensuring the food and biological security of our country. According to the results of the expert assessment of the participants of the championship, the winner was the student of the 3rd group of 4 courses of the faculty of veterinary medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Tsybulyovskaya Alena, who, in addition to the valuable prizes, got the right to participate in the qualifying championship for the national final “Young Professionals” WorldSkills Russia.
