Teaching staff of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Physiology of the Stavropol State Agrarian University regularly work together with the students of the Children's Scientific and Engineering Activity Center by Andrey Melnichenko Fund located in Nevinnomyssk.
In promoting the development of innovative activity of the economy of Stavropol region through the implementation of student technology entrepreneurship programs in cooperation with organizations of the innovative infrastructure of the region employees of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Physiology, together with the students of the Children's Scientific and Engineering Activity Center by Andrey Melnichenko Fund laid demonstration experiments at the premises of one of the farming enterprises of Nevinnomyssk. The main technical idea of the experiment is to determine the relationship between the crop productivity and their vegetative index NDVI, which was obtained in two ways: by the method of space shooting and shooting using UAVs.
The Andrey Melnichenko Foundation is the Russia's first private foundation for infrastructural educational projects in the natural sciences. Its mission is to create an environment for the talent ssustainability in the Russian regions. The Foundation supports gifted children in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics and education and develops a system of "social elevators" for talented youth in the regions where their companies are present.
The aim of the work is to involve schoolchildren in a serious scientific experiment, where the main role is assigned to children, and adults perform the functions of scientific advisors. The project is jointly supported by the Stavropol Agrarian University, “Nevinnomyssky Azot” and the agricultural enterprise “Agrarnik”. Monitoring research of the space data and aerial photography with UAVs is accompanied by the company "Reasonable solutions", confirmation of the of the chemical analysis results reliability is provided in an accredited laboratory belonging to the holding company YevroKhim.
