Dean of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Technological Management of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Valentin Skripkin took part in the enlarged meeting of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in Higher Education "Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnology" in the framework of the All-Russian Seminar-Meeting of Deans of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnology on the basis of Belgorod State University.
The main topic of the discussion was "Organization of educational activities in accordance with the programs of higher zoo veterinary education under current conditions ".
Participants of the event were FUMO representatives, specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, deans of the faculties of veterinary medicine and zootechnics of educational institutions of Russia, representatives of leading agrarian enterprises.
During the conference, a number of important issues were considered: updating the educational standard on the specialty "Veterinary" and linking it with professional standards, development of the basic part of the specialty program, the appropriateness of including certain disciplines in the curriculum and their workload, intermediate qualification for discipline or practice, and many others.
After the plenary session, a sightseeing tour was conducted for the guests to get acquainted with the educational and laboratory base of the Belgorod SAU. The participants of the seminar-meeting studied the conditions for practical training and internship programs for the students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; the guests also visited the Interregional Veterinary Laboratory.
