In Stavropol on the Ecological Trail of Health the action "Clean Games" was held, the organizers of which were students of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Pavel Bogdanov, Anastasia Pavlenko, Tatiana Kasyanova and Alena Sheveleva and other volunteers.
"Clean Games" is an ecological and educational project that allows participants to contribute to the purification of the environment and to learn the basics of separate collection of garbage. The shares are held in Russia since 2014. Cleaning has already been done in 75 cities, where more than 15 thousand participants collected almost 350 tons of garbage.
The main partner of the "Clean Games" in Stavropol was our university. The project was also supported by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Stavropol Territory, the City Administration, the Environmental Conservation Fund "Ecological Development", the All-Russian Environmental Public Movement "Green Russia" and the regional operator for solid municipal waste management of Eco-City LLC.
Participants in the action - people of different ages and interests, joining teams of two to four people, collecting garbage, for which they received points. Points were awarded not only for the amount of collected garbage, but also for its sorting. Additional points brought participants unique finds, the so-called "artifacts": old shoes, dishes and even officer shoulder straps.
In total, the game involved more than 40 people, who made 11 teams. As a result, about a ton of garbage was collected. Separately, plastic was collected - 31 bags, glass - 33 bags, metal - 6 bags and 21 automobile tires.
Subsequently, the separate garbage was recycled.
Two prizes were won by the teams of the Stavropol State Agrarian University: the leaders were the team of the faculty of veterinary medicine, and the second place was won by students of the accounting and financial department.
A separate competition was a check-ins competition, the winner of which was the team of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources.
