Agrarian University congratulated the hero of the day

On May 30, 2018, the only woman in the Stavropol Territory, a female academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Nikolaevna Petrova, celebrated her glorious jubilee.

The scientific interests of Lyudmila Nikolaevna are wide and multifaceted. She is known in our country and abroad as a prominent scientist in the field of agriculture, plant growing, agrochemistry, plant physiology. Her scientific work is closely connected with the study of fundamental and priority applied problems of nutrition physiology, morphophysiological development, photosynthetic activity, crop formation and quality of winter wheat grain. A great role in its research was played in the creation of agricultural systems and dry farming systems in the Stavropol Territory, which allowed the region to stabilize and substantially increase the production of grain and other agricultural products. The grand meeting of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, dedicated to the celebration of the anniversary of Lyudmila Nikolaevna Petrova, was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The rector of the university, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honorary citizen of the Stavropol Territory, Hero of Labor of Stavropol, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev opened the ceremony of congratulations. On behalf of the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Mikhailovich Sergeev, he presented Lyudmila Nikolaevna with the Certificate of Honor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Vladimir Andreevich Bogachev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov, the director of the North Caucasus Federal Scientific Agrarian Center, the Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Valery Vladimirovich came to congratulate this amazing woman and a prominent scientist: the Chairman of the Stavropol Territory Duma Committee on Agrarian and Land Issues, Nature Management and Ecology Kulintsev and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the department of agrochemistry of the Kuban State Agrarian University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Askhad Khazretovich Sheudzhen and many other representatives of educational and research institutions of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts.

On this day, many warm words from her friends of colleagues and pupils, to which Lyudmila Nikolaevna gave a start in life, sounded to the address of the jubilee, and the students of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources pleased the birthday girl and her guests with a festive concert.
