The Stavropol State Agrarian University is the only agrarian university that entered the TOP-100 of the best universities in Russia

The International Information Group "Interfax" presented the results of the 9th annual National University Ranking for the 2017/2018 academic year. The Stavropol State Agrarian University took 58th place in Russia. This is the highest position among the country's agricultural universities.

In total, 288 leading universities of Russia were evaluated within the rating, including 29 national research universities, 10 federal universities, 33 supporting universities, and 21 university-participants of Project 5-100.

In the combined rating, the Stavropol State Agrarian University took 58-60 place, dividing it with the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov and the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov.

The Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov jumped up to the last one, as they say, the TOP-100 car from the agricultural higher educational institutions of Russia "with one leg". He shared the 100-101 rankings with the Orenburg State University.

Our nearest neighbors and colleagues are the Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilina and the Don State Agrarian University - took 128 and 147 positions respectively.

Many points of the Stavropol State University have surpassed the country's oldest agricultural universities - the Russian State Agrarian University - the Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after K.A. Timiryazev (he is on the 141st place) and Michurin State Agrarian University (150-153 position of the National rating).

It should be noted that the activity of universities is evaluated on six parameters in a 1000-point scale, the integral evaluation is formed in six main directions: education (20%), research (20%), social environment (15%), international and interregional cooperation (15%), innovation (15%) and the university's brand (15%). Based on each of the directions, six parametric private ratings are also published. The sources of the data are open materials on the activities of universities, the personal data collected by the experts of Interfax, the monitoring data of the universities of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and the results of the analysis carried out with the help of the Complex Analysis of News System (SCAN-Interfax).

Compared with last year, our university has risen by 29 points in the category of "Socialization", which assesses the development of the social environment of the university, including the organization of continuing education. In addition, by 41 positions higher than in 2017, we became in the parameter "Internationalization", which assesses the development of international relations of the university.

And, of course, we do not give up our positions in the category "Brand", in which we moved from the 50th to the 49th place.

According to the compilers of the rating, "the most visible rivalry is between the status universities that have prepared their strategic development programs and have the necessary resources to implement these programs."
