On June 1 in Krasnodar in the National Center of Grain named after P.P. Lukyanenko passed the field seminar "Field Day-2018". Employees of the National Grain Center provided an opportunity for all present to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in selection and seed production of cereals, spicery and leguminous crops and inspect demonstration crops.
Employees and students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the "Field Day" where the structure of the National Grain Center and the results of scientific developments of the Stavropol SAU delegation was presented by the Director of the Center, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Alexander Alekseevich Romanenko and leading scientists center in the field of breeding.
Our university and the National Grain Center named after P.P. Lukyanenko links long-standing profitable cooperation. On the basis of the experimental station of the Stavropol SAU, joint research is carried out within the variety testing of winter wheat varieties of the Krasnodar Research Institute of Agriculture and optimizing the mineral nutrition of these varieties in conditions of the unstable hydration zone.

Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Stavropol State University into the Center for Innovative and Technological Development of the Stavropol Territory "Creation of the engineering center of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Territory, providing technological and business infrastructure to assist companies in implementing projects in the areas of development of the promising market" FoodNet "of the Stavropol Territory within the framework of the National Technological Initiative and the promotion of innovative research and experimental design developments that contribute to import substitution in the agro-industrial complex", employees of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the National Grain Center are working in the field of accelerated breeding based on the use of modern breeding genetic and physiological-biochemical methods.
Every year students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources undergo a production practice on the basis of the grain center. The director of the center, the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Alexander Alekseevich Romanenko expressed deep gratitude to the rector of the university, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev and faculty and university as a whole for high professional training of students.
