June 7, 2018 in Maikop city hosted the championship and the championship of the South and North Caucasus federal districts in athletics. Participation in it was accepted and the representative of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The competitions became qualifiers for the participation of athletes in the preparation for the Russian championship, which will be held in Kazan in 2018.
A total of 35 teams took part in the district competitions, 142 athletes.
Strongest athletes of the country competed in running on 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000, 5000 m, running with barriers for 100, 110 and 400 m, running with obstacles for 2000 m, 3000 m, in high jump and length, triple jump, throwing disc, hammer, spear, shot put, relay races, heptathlon in all age groups.
The representative of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Alexey Mazikin, a student of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Economics, became a silver medalist among juniors under the age of 23 in the decathlon, showing the best result!
We wish our sportsman further success in the preparation for the championship of Russia!
