STAU students will be trained in technology entrepreneurship

The Stavropol State Agrarian University signed a licensing agreement with the Russian Venture Company (RVC) on the inclusion of the course "Innovative Economy and Technological Entrepreneurship" in the curriculum 2018/2019. For our university this educational course is provided free of charge.

The training program "Innovative Economy and Technological Entrepreneurship" was developed by the RVC in 2017 in cooperation with the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics ("ITMO University") and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. As part of the course, students will learn the process of forming a start-up, try to understand the principles of commercialization of R & D, they will be able to master the methods of forming a project team, developing an action plan for putting a high-tech product on the market. The training program is made for students of 3-4 years of undergraduate studies and can be integrated as an obligatory subject or elective. The course was based on a combination of the best Russian and international practices of teaching entrepreneurship, while the course assumes that, if necessary, each institution can adapt it to its industry specificity. The peculiarity of the program is that it is fully ready for inclusion in the curriculum and does not require additional adaptation.

It is planned that by 2020 the number of universities-operators of the program will reach 100, and training on the course will be about 50 thousand students.

But for the practical implementation of their ideas, they often lack basic economic knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, "said Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. - Mastering this course will help students to sell their developments, it will teach them how to competently present their ideas to investors, promote them on the market, promoting the development of a start-up movement.
