Stavropol SAU is included in the TOP-75 of the rating of universities according to the version of V. Potanin Charitable Foundation

12.09.2018

In Moscow, there were presented the results of the ranking of Russian higher educational institutions - participants of the Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund Scholarship Program for the 2017-2018 academic year. Stavropol State Agrarian University since 2005 is an invariable participant of this rating. It is noteworthy that our university is the only agricultural one in Russia, which entered the list of the best in terms of the fund's version.

Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation is one of the first private foundations in Russia, established in 1999 to implement programs in the field of education and culture. Potanin Scholarship Program is the largest project of the Foundation, which has existed since 2000.

The rating of institutions of higher education, according to the version of the Charity Fund, is published annually since 2004. It consists of universities, whose students and teachers participate in the Scholarship Program. The rating is based on the indicators of the universities participating in the fund's contests: the scholarship grant for master students, the grant for the master degree teachers, the socially significant projects competition and the Fund's school. The position of the institution depends on the achievements that the scholarship and grant holders of the fund show during the academic year.

Since 2005, Stavropol State Agrarian University is an invariable participant of this program. Out of 54 agricultural universities of the country, the students and teachers of only two universities became the scholars of the program: SSAU and RGAU-MAA named after K.A. Timiryazev. But this year the colleagues from Timiryazevka did not get into the program, and our university became the only agrarian one represented in the rating.

- Every year the universities rotate, this allows us to make a decision about who stays in the program and who does not. Involvement of independent experts allows you to make the rating more objective in a subjective situation. We conduct research and focus groups in order to understand what is happening in the education sector - it is necessary that the contest remains relevant, - said Oksana Oracheva, the general director of Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund.

Fund experts also made an increasing rating - it summarizes the achievements of each university in the main rating for the last three years. In the growing rating of 2016-2018, Stavropol SAU took the 50th position.
