Useful knowledge from specialists of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation

October 1–7, 2018, the Bank of Russia, together with the Moscow Exchange, held the International Investor Week initiated by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). For the first time, a week of investors was held a year ago, and 80 countries took part in it, including Russia. Stavropol State Agrarian University also took part in the activities of the International Week.

On October 4, 2018, a problem seminar was held for future investors - 3-year students of the Economics direction, "Accounting, Analysis and Audit" profile of the "Accounting and Finance" Faculty - with the participation of representatives of the Bank of Russia. The seminar was conducted by the Chief Economist of the Economic Department of the Branch for the Stavropol Territory of the Southern Central Administration of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Alexander Alexandrovich Gladilin. The expert told about the features of investment products, the existing risks and how to avoid them.

During the consideration of this topic, students have replenished theoretical knowledge in the field of investment management, received answers to the following questions:

- why it is necessary to invest funds;

- how inflation affects savings;

- Is it profitable to invest in bank deposits;

- what income can be obtained from investing in real estate;

- why is it profitable to buy gold not in bullion, but by exchange contracts;

- what is the probabilistic income from investments in securities;

- Is it possible to lose all the money by investing in securities;

- how long it takes to manage your investments;

- what knowledge you need to have to invest and where to get them;

- what is the secret of the easiest and most effective investment strategy.

Today, it is more important than ever for students of the "Accounting and Finance" Faculty to monitor the trends of the stock market and the shifting boundaries of financial risk zones in order to prevent possible negative consequences for investors.

Students learned about the multidimensional nature of the activities of the Central Bank of Russia, the role of the bank in regulating the securities market, the possibilities of investing in the stock, bond, and derivatives and foreign exchange markets.
