An open lecture on economic security took place.

Deputy Head of the Control and Audit Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory Lieutenant Colonel of Internal Service Renata Ponozhemko devoted her speech to the students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University to the economic security of the region. The meeting was organized by teachers of the department "Financial Management and Banking" in the framework of the concluded agreement on cooperation between the university and the department.

It is generally recognized that ensuring economic security is a guarantee of the country's independence, a condition of stability and effective life activity of the society, a guarantee of success. The economic security of the region includes a set of measures aimed at sustainable, continuous development and improvement of the regional economy, necessarily involving a mechanism to counter external and internal threats. In the complex of measures that form the economic security system of the region, the decisive importance should be given to the prevention of emerging threats, including financial ones.

Renata Ponozhenko shared her experience in identifying security threats and minimizing the negative consequences of their implementation with the faculty of the "Accounting and financial" and first-year students of the specialty “Economic Security”. She told the audience about the importance of assessing and predicting the impact of all expected threats, as well as economic and non-economic impacts on their progress, that the main thing is to identify the possibility of a sharp recession and a critical threshold.
