Festival of Young Wine in Kislovodsk

On October 5, the staff of the Department of Production and Processing of Food Products from Plant Raw Materials of Stavropol State Agrarian University and Masters of the first course of the course “Food from Vegetable Raw Materials” participated in the international forum-presentation “Young Wine”.

The holiday of young wine in Kislovodsk is held for the fifth time. 40 local manufacturers presented their products, including eminent regional enterprises and small farms.

Governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov talked with winemakers and congratulated the guests of the autumn event. The head of the region noted that the festival will traditionally be held in Kislovodsk and will become another visiting card of the resort city. Also, Vladimir Vladimirov noted that in 2018 a record harvest of grapes is expected in the region - the farmers are planning to collect 35 thousand tons of amber berries.

Stavropol State Agrarian University at the event presented the scientific and educational development of the Department of Production and Processing of Food from Vegetable Raw Materials, educational and teaching aids on the processing of grapes and the production of wine products, young wine received by students of the direction "Food from vegetable raw materials" in the framework of the circle “Young wine-maker” under the leadership of the head of the department Romanenko Elena Semenovna, associate professor Sosyura Elena Alekseevna and Head Teacher Miltyusov Vladimir Evgenevich, treatment-and-prophylactic drinks "Bio-Tonus", various types of distillates and 9 varieties of craft beer.

The wine festival was held on a large scale. Guests of the fair with pleasure tasted the young wine and enjoyed the performance of musical groups.
