At the exhibition “Golden Autumn 2018” Stavropol State Agrarian University presented its experience of international cooperation

From 10 to 13 October 2018, the anniversary XX Agricultural Exhibition "Golden Autumn 2018", the main agricultural forum of the country, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, takes place in Moscow at the EANE. Within the framework of the exhibition, the All-Russian Conference “International cooperation of educational and scientific institutions in the framework of the development of technology transfer to the external market” took place on October 12. The conference was hosted by Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Rector of the Stavropol State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Agrarian Universities of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Association for "Agricultural Education".

The participants of the All-Russian Conference included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, relevant federal agencies, industry unions and associations, scientific and educational organizations, innovative territorial and agro-industrial clusters, agricultural enterprises, etc.

Moderator of the conference, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev made a presentation on the topic “International cooperation of Stavropol State Agrarian University within the framework of the development of technology transfer to the external market”. One of the directions of educational and scientific, methodical and social development of the SSAU is to strengthen its scientific and academic activities in the field of educational exports. Currently, representatives from more than 10 countries of the near and far abroad are studying at the university.

Also, at the event were: Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Elena Gorozhankina, Rector of the Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov Nikolai Kuznetsov, Advisor to the General Director of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere Ivan Bortnik, Vice-Rector for International and External Relations of the Kuban State Agrarian University Tatyana Polutina, Head of the Center for Technological Transfer of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Roman Kulikov, Director Center for Scientific and Technical Forecasting, Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, National Research University Higher School of Economics Aleksander Chulock, head of the "research" Development Fund of the Department of Human Resource Andrei Podolsky and others.

The conference participants discussed topical issues of export of agricultural education as an investment activity, implementation of transfer of agricultural biotechnologies, development of digital agriculture and many others. Particular attention in the discussions was paid to the possibilities and prospects of scientific and educational centers of competence in the agroindustrial complex of the Russian Federation and to build the image of the modern Russian agrarian student in the context of similarities and differences with Western peers.

The outcome of the discussion was the unanimous opinion of the participants on the need to expand the export of Russian agricultural education.

At the end of the event, the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev and the Rector of the Yakutsk State Agricultural Academy, Academician of the International Academy of Agrarian Education Ivan Ivanovich Sleptsov signed a Cooperation Agreement.
