A scientific and practical seminar was held in the Agrarian University

In the Stavropol State Agrarian University, as part of measures to increase the publication activity of the authors of the university, a scientific and practical seminar "The effective use of Scopus and Science Direct electronic resources for the preparation of scientific articles" was held.

Maxim Yurkin, Senior Researcher, Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Lecturer at the NSU, Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, Twice Winner of the European Academy Award, Scholarship holder of the President of the Russian Federation, Winner of the Young Scientists Award in the Field of Light Scattering and Electromagnetic Waves, paid attention to a wide range of issues relating to the possibilities of using the resources of the Science Direct full-text database and the abstract analytical database of Scopus citation for the preparation of a high-quality scientific article. He showed how using the Scopus database you can find the potential for cooperation and promising sources for your publication. He invited to register with the international scientific social network Mendeley. In the framework of the seminar, emphasis was placed on the standards of editorial policy and the norms of publication ethics of scientific journals.

Much of M. Yurkin’s speech was devoted to developing a strategy for selecting a journal for publication. The event was attended by over 50 researchers, graduate students and undergraduates of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
