Master class from the practitioner of the company "Monocrystal"

On October 16, 2018, a meeting of students of the World Economy profile with a representative of the strategic partner of our university, JSC Monocrystal, was held at the Faculty of Economics. A master class on the development of leadership qualities and competencies in the field of foreign economic activity was held by the head of the sales department of the partner company, Anna Sergeyevna Kraevaya. The meeting was organized by associate professors of the Department of Entrepreneurship and the World Economy N.V. Vorobyeva and Yu.V. Orel.

During the meeting, Anna Sergeyevna told about the international activities of the Monocrystal company: export-import deliveries to foreign countries, features of the negotiation process, and also about cooperation with such foreign companies as Samsung, LG, Apple.

The representative of the organization focused on the interaction of the company with the university in the framework of strategic cooperation, providing places for internships to students with opportunities for their further employment. She stressed that international business faces the greatest risk - a shortage of talented and highly skilled employees in the sphere of foreign economic and trade activities, and Stavropol State Agrarian University is one of the main universities, on which Monocrystal focuses for the selection of future personnel. In her speech, Anna Sergeyevna focused students on the acquisition of competences in the field of leadership, innovation, risk management, analytical skills, strategic thinking, training and commitment to continuous improvement. Particular emphasis was placed on the knowledge of a foreign language, since thanks to this the specialist is considered exclusive and competitive. Valuable advice was given by the representative of the company and on the job interview, the correctness of writing the motivation letter.

The students actively participated in the conversation with Anna Sergeyevna, noted for themselves new and important information, asked questions and received detailed answers.

A meeting with a practitioner for future economists was at the same time a learning, educational and orienting event. Of course, such meetings help students to better understand the features of various types of economic work, allow them to rethink life positions, to build their priorities in future professional activities.
