At the 40th World Arm wrestling Championship, which was held from October 12 to 21, 2018 in Antalya, Turkey, more than 1,000 athletes from 70 countries participated. Among juniors up to 18 years old in the weight category up to 55 kg a 2-year student of the 8th group of the Faculty of Economics of Stavropol State Agrarian University Aybazov Akhmat participated. In total, 13 athletes from different countries competed in this weight category. Despite the high competition, having reached the final, as a result of the intense struggle, Akhmat took second place, losing only to the Kazakh athlete.
