Students of Agrarian University attended the round table of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources

On October 29, a government meeting of the Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, which was opened by the Governor of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirovich, was held in the government of the Stavropol Territory on October 29. The round table was chaired by Nikolay Nikolayev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations.

The round table was attended by 50 students of the Ecology and Nature Management and Land Management and Cadastres directions of the departments of ecology and landscape architecture and agrobiology and land resources of Stavropol State Agrarian University together with the assistant of the department of ecology and landscape construction.

In his speech, the first deputy chairman of the Krai Duma Dmitry Nikolaevich Sudavtsov raised issues of concern for the illegal mining and subsequent land reclamation that are topical for the region. In particular, he noted that even legitimate quarries reclaim the soil with the help of water, turning farmland into ponds and swamps.

He proposed to amend the Federal Law "On Subsoil" regarding the use of minerals for their own needs within the boundaries of land plots. Such an initiative came because of the lack of production culture at the sites for the extraction of minerals.

Andrey Georgiyevich Khlopyanov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory, Vertiy Stanislav Nikolayevich, Head of the Subsoil Use Department for the North Caucasus Federal District, and Kuzmin Mikhail Vladimirovich, Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations.

Nikolai Petrovich Nikolaev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations, emphasized that the issue of preventing the irrational and illegal use of natural wealth is relevant for the region, since almost every “piece” of land is used in the Stavropol region.

In addition, the meeting discussed the use of natural resources of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.
