At the end of October 2018, the open European Powerlifting Cup was held in the city of Eilat (Israel). 238 athletes from Belarus, Israel, Spain, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Finland, France and the Czech Republic took part in the competition. Representatives of Stavropol State Agrarian University made a worthy presentation at such a prestigious championship.
The undergraduate student of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization at the Stavropol State Agrarian University Vyacheslav Skrynnikov became the champion of the European Powerlifting Cup in the weight category 82.5.
Senior lecturer of the department of physical education and sport Mukhortova Nina Vyacheslavovna won the absolute championship in powerlifting and the bench press "lying".
