From 2 to 4 November 2018, the first round of the Student Basketball Association Championship in the Caucasus Division among men's teams of the season 2018-2019 was held in Yessentuki. The team of Stavropol State Agrarian University brilliantly performed in the competition.
In total, 6 teams took part in the Championship.
The men's national team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University played two games in the first round in the city of Yessentuki and won in both games.
In the first game, our guys defeated the team of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (Kabardino-Balkaria) with a score of 99-46.
The second game ended with an equal score, but in the additional five-minute the team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University pulled out a victory from the team of Pyatigorsk State University (Pyatigorsk) with a score of 70:69.
It is important to note that, as part of the men's national team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, in addition to experienced players, there are three young basketball players from the secondary vocational education department who played well for the national team.
The next round of the Student Basketball Association Championship will be held from December 7 to 9, 2018.
