Adaptation in an Urban Environment of First Year Students

At the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources; Ecology and Landscape Architecture were held meetings with representatives of various departments and structures that will allow first-year students to better adapt to the urban environment.

Meetings of first-year students with specialists from law enforcement agencies and medical institutions aimed at preventing crime, drug addiction, smoking and alcoholism have become an annual autumn tradition.

The lectures were attended by the senior district police department № 1 of the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Stavropol Territory, police major Konstantin Mikhailovich Levin; Yulia Alexandrovna Fedorova, Medical Psychologist at the Regional Clinical Drug Treatment Center, Senior Lieutenant Elena Alexandrovna Krasnoyaruzhenskaya, Senior Security Officer for Particularly Important Cases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Stavropol Territory.

Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexandr Nikolayevich Esaulko stressed that such meetings are necessary for first-year students to protect them from wrongdoing, rash actions and tragic consequences.

Police Major K.M. Levin told first-year students about the rules of conduct in public places, federal and regional laws relating to smoking and drinking alcohol in public places, participation in rallies, how not to become a victim of crime and much more.

At the meeting a medical psychologist Yu.A. Fedorova told first-year students about the dangers of consuming alcohol-containing, narcotic and psychotropic substances, and explained where to turn for help if young people were already addicted.

Senior Special Operations Officer E.A. Krasnoyaruzhenskaya told about the consequences of the use of drugs and psychoactive substances, administrative and criminal liability.

Faculty guests strongly recommended first-year students to be very attentive to themselves and the people around them.
