Quest on knowledge of finance for students of Nevinnomyssk

The Institute of Further Professional Education and teachers of the Department of Financial Management and Banking of the Stavropol State Agrarian University in the city of chemists conducted a training game Financial Stars. It is organized as part of the All-Russian Savings Week. The event was held for students of secondary vocational schools of Nevinnomyssk: an Energy College and a Chemical Engineering College.

An unusual lesson was a quest. This is a mobile adventure game in which the participants at each of the stages consistently perform different, related tasks. The overall goal of the quest carried out in Nevinnomyssk is to build a space rocket and earn as much money as possible during its production.

The head of the Department of Financial Management and Banking, Professor Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova and Associate Professor Elena Nikolaevna Lapina explained to the participants the essence of the tasks of each of the stages. To achieve the goal of creating a rocket, they needed to acquire “initial capital”, which could either be earned or borrowed. And, as in real life, some teams started their production with a visit to a financial organization, others tried to raise money to build a rocket at the expense of their labor. During the quest, the participants had to get acquainted with the work of insurance organizations, court, to visit the "production workshops".

Three hours later, the teams came together again. The best players were rewarded with prizes provided by the State Training Institution of Further Professional Education “Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory”.
