During the celebration of the Day of People's Unity, a city sports festival was held on the central square of the regional capital, in which teams of universities and colleges of Stavropol participated. Students and teachers of Stavropol State Agrarian University presented their sporting achievements at this festival.
During the competition, the team of our university managed to win two silver medals at once, confidently taking second place in arm wrestling and kettlebell lifting.
A week earlier, at the Arm wrestling Championship in Budyonnovsk a second-year student of the Accounting and Financial Faculty Aysandyrov Islam in the weight category up to 75 kg took the first place among the strongest 10 athletes in this category. Moreover, in the final for the first place he had to fight with the prize-winner of the championship of Russia, but he managed to win a confident victory over him.
