Meeting freshmen with graduates

On November 14, 2018, in the framework of the “Introduction to the specialty” discipline, the first-year students of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University met with graduates of past years, and now specialists in agronomy, plant protection, land management and cadastre, fermentation industry and winemaking, ecology and environmental management, landscape architecture.

The lecture was opened by the dean of the faculties, Professor Esaulko Alexander Nikolaevich, who introduced the graduates and spoke about the problems in the field of personnel potential of the agro-industrial sector and employment opportunities after receiving a diploma.

Head of the South region of LLC "Summit Agro" Balatsky Mikhail Yuryevich, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, a graduate of the Agronomy Faculty of 2007, spoke about the activities of his organization, which is part of the Sumi Agro Europe group of companies located in London (United Kingdom), and is part of Sumitomo Corporation is one of the leading multinational companies of Japan. Sumi Agro Europe manages its network of companies and branches in many countries around the world. Each Summit Agro company provides a powerful platform for product development, marketing, and logistics in the agricultural sector. Since 2017, the faculty has had close cooperation with LLC "Summit Agro" in the field of practical training for students in the field of agronomy, while the company pays scholarships. Balatsky M.Yu. He assured first-year students that cooperation in this direction will continue and each of their present students, having mastered certain knowledge and skills, can become a scholarship holder.

Vladimir Vitalevich Gavrilyuk, Candidate of Technical Sciences, a graduate of the Agronomy Faculty of 2008, told the first-year students about the profession of a technologist, about the state of the brewing and winemaking industry in the Stavropol Territory, the possibility of practical training and employment of students in the section “Vegetable food products ".

Galda Dmitry Evgenievich, a graduate of the Agronomy Faculty of 2013, an assistant of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, shared the job opportunities and features of the profession of cadastral engineer with students.

Landscape designer Kasatkina Alexandra Olegovna, a graduate of the specialty "Landscape gardening and landscape construction" in 2015, assistant professor of ecology and landscape construction, a graduate student of the department of agrochemistry noted the main directions of work of modern landscape designers and the requirements imposed by employers to specialists of this profile.

A graduate of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture 2016, a leading engineer of the branch of the FSBI “TsLATI in the Southern Federal District” - TsLATI in the Stavropol Territory, Maxim Zhebrikov spoke about the functional responsibilities of a specialist in the field of ecology and environmental monitoring, employment opportunities in this area.

First-year students, in turn, asked questions about the specifics of the professions, wages, student years and the social life of graduates in the period of study at the university.
