Teachers of agricultural universities are studying information technology

November 8-9, 2018 on the basis of Belgorod State Agrarian University. named after V.Ya. Gorin held a seminar-training on the topic "Information technologies in plant growing and teaching agrarian disciplines." More than 20 participants from different regions of Russia took part in the seminar. Stavropol State Agrarian University at the event was represented by Assosiate Professor of Land Management and Cadastre of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Sergey Gorbachev.

The seminar highlighted the main ideas of precision farming systems, demonstrated the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and GIS systems that allow remote sensing of land and vegetation with the definition of the NDVI vegetation index, and presented work carried out in the field of monitoring of agricultural land.

During the training, the following topics were considered:

1. Experience in the use of information technologies in crop production (on the example of the UNIC "Agrotechnopark");

2. The use of IT-technology in the practical training of students;

3. Modern workplace of agronomist;

4. The use of an automated accounting system in crop production (for example, the GIS "TsPS:" AgroUniversity ");

5. Experience of participation in the project “AgroNTI”.

After each topic was covered, the participants were given time for discussion, which allowed them to more fully disclose each of the topics of the reports, and indicated that the participants were very interested in the materials of each presentation.

At the end of the seminar, all participants received certificates of participation and expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
