Students from different countries met at the “Discussion Club” of the Agrarian University

A regular meeting of the International Scientific and Practical Discussion Club was held at the accounting and finance department of Stavropol State Agrarian University. The club was attended by students and undergraduates of Stavropol State Agrarian University, the North Caucasus Federal University, foreign guests from far and near abroad. The theme that unites students from Cyprus, Greece, Angola, Uzbekistan, Syria, Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and a number of other countries was “Digital Economy: Realities and Prospects”.

The event was opened by the Head of the Faculty Scientific Students Society, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit Uryadova Tatiana Nikolaevna. The associate professor of the Finance and Credit Department of the North Caucasus Federal University Yulia Alexandrovna Konopleva addressed the discussion participants with a welcoming speech.

Beginning researchers discussed the development of the digital economy, achievements and problems associated with the introduction of digital technologies. Foreign guests have identified the current areas of digitalization of their countries. So, in particular, Azizova Camilla, representing the Republic of Uzbekistan, studied the dynamics of the digital phenomenon in different countries. The role of digital technologies and the possibilities of their introduction into the national economy were presented by Sofia Salmah from Syria and Ahmed Hommam from Egypt. Alina Voivoda from Greece spoke about digital technologies in the banking sector in the Republicof Greece.

According to the results of the club, all participants were awarded certificates, and the results of the studies that caused the greatest interest were awarded diplomas. The following reports were recognized as the best: “Implementation of the Digital Economy Program of the Russian Federation” (Oksana Andryushchenko, Stavropol State Agrarian University); “Shopping through the Internet: advantages and disadvantages” (Anastasia Savina, North Caucasus Federal University); “Blockchain and how it will change the world” (Vladimir Avakyan, Stavropol State Agrarian University); “Observation of the dynamics of the 21st century digital phenomenon” (Azizova Camilla, North Caucasus Federal University); “Competition policy in the digital economy” (Emrop Mesropyan and Elena Garmash, Stavropol State Agrarian University); “Pros and cons of the digital economy” (Svetlana Nekhorosheva, Stavropol State University of Economics and Management and Alina Voivoda, North Caucasus Federal University).

During the discussion, the club members expanded their research horizons, exchanged experiences and expressed a desire to continue meetings in a similar format.
