Students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources learned about the history of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology

On the basis of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources of Stavropol State Agrarian University, an open lecture was held on the topic “The Life and Work of Scientists of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology”. The initiators of this event were the Department of Philosophy and History and the 2 nd course students of “Land Management and Cadastre”. During the event, reports on the life and work of outstanding scientists of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Physiology were held.

The guests of honor of the meeting were employees of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, who worked in different periods of time, scientists of world renown: Head of the Department (1975-2003), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Ageev Valentin Vasilievich; Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Kuydan Anatoly Porfirievich; professor, dean of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture Esaulko Alexander Nikolaevich; Associate Professor Sigida Maxim Sergeevich and current teachers of the department.

Among the speakers there were also Professor, Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture Alexander Yesaulko. He immersed the guests of the event in a brief insight into the history of the department. He emphasized the modern capabilities of the laboratory of agrochemical analysis.

- Now the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology has a sufficiently high potential to achieve high results in the pedagogical, scientific and educational activities of students of Stavropol State Agrarian University, - said Alexander Nikolaevich.

The listeners were students of 1, 2 and 3 courses, who will have to write a final qualifying work at the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology. The guys enthusiastically received information about the scientific activities of professors, asked questions. The atmosphere of a friendly conversation reigned in the audience, during which the first-year students shared their impressions of their first months of study at the faculty, expressed their gratitude to the curatorial staff for their quick adaptation to student life.

The meeting turned out to be truly interesting and exciting for the new generation of students! Upon completion, the deputy dean for scientific work, senior course curator, associate professor Sigida Maxim Sergeevich made a response speech. He thanked all the older generation for their hard work, for their energy, for the experience and instructions they shared with the students, for their love of life and their own business.
