On November 21, 2018, on the basis of the Faculty of Power Engineering of Stavropol State Agrarian University, a grand opening of the new intellectual educational and research laboratory “Energy-efficient heat consumption and dispatching technologies” took place as part of the tripartite cooperation with strategic partners: TEPLOCOM, St. Petersburg and Teploset, Stavropol.
Today, energy saving and saving of fuel and energy resources is the most important priority of the socio-economic development of Russia. This is also reflected in the Presidential Decree No. 204 of May 7, 2018 “On the national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024” and in the Federal Law No. 261 of November 23, 2009 “On energy saving and energy efficiency."
Agrarian University is a practice-oriented university, creating progressive conditions for teaching and an effective educational process. That is why more and more innovative technological centers and educational laboratories are being opened here, equipped with the most modern analytical measuring equipment, which allows performing comprehensive energy surveys of industrial enterprises at a high scientific and methodological level.
- Today we are the first among all! - commented Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, Rector of SSAU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, on a significant event. - In order to live tomorrow in a state with a stable economy, today we are creating all the necessary conditions for a person’s life and business. We teach this to our students. Thoroughly knowing the capabilities of the laboratory, the guys will be able to show and prove themselves in subsequent successful work. The laboratory is truly unique in nature, so the doors of the innovation and technology center are open every day for everyone.
To cut a symbolic red ribbon in honor of the opening came honored guests: Alexander V. Malyutin - Commercial Director of TEPLOKOM, St. Petersburg, strategic partner of FSBEI HE "Stavropol State Agrarian University"; Stavropol and Vasily Vasilyevich Glushakov - Head of the Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Energy Saving of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Communications of Stavropol Territory.
It is important to note that this is the first laboratory of this kind on the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District, where students will be trained not on dummies, but on real heating systems and real industrial equipment.
Together with the partners of the university, a unique research and production educational platform has now been created, combining the functions: knowledge generation, production tests, implementation of the latest technologies in the field of energy saving and energy audit, conducting the educational process at the highest scientific and technological level in the field of energy-efficient heat consumption.
This laboratory is one of the stages of transition to a digital economy and energy-efficient agriculture, preparing students in real-world conditions for working with existing modern equipment with the ability to remotely monitor and control heat consumption parameters in real time.
Dean of the Faculty of Electric Power Maxim Mastepanenko told about the possibility of remote monitoring of heat consumption parameters, drew attention to the fact that the stands were assembled and designed by university specialists using modern heat energy calculators that came out of production this winter.
The laboratory's sponsor, Teplokom Holding’s commercial director, Aleksandr Vasilyevich Malyutin, noted that the design of the training center took a total of six months, and the holding did not spare the funds to achieve the most comfortable working conditions for students with real objects.
The students of the faculty themselves actively participated in the practical formation of the laboratory. They stressed that the university and faculty helps to develop in all possible directions, thanked for the opportunity to study in conditions as close to reality as possible, showing how theoretical knowledge is applied in practice.
