November, 27 2018 at the Grand Kremlin Palace was held the meeting of the Presidential Council on science and education with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and a number of heads of constituent entities of the country. The main issue of discussion was the concept of scientific and technical policy in the context of the implementation of the Strategy of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation.
Opening the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he considered this meeting very important, because it should determine further steps to strengthen and, most importantly, the qualitative development of the scientific potential of the country, so that it fully corresponds to the large-scale tasks of the breakthrough facing the country.
More than six years ago, the format of the Council for Science and Education was fundamentally changed, which, according to the President, has become a key and, importantly, a working platform for dialogue between representatives of the state, universities and the scientific community as a whole.
Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, member of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Association of agrarian universities of Russia “AgroEducation” Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev assured the head of state and those present that the University headed by him is the flagship of agricultural education and science and today successfully solves the problem of training highly qualified personnel for the real sector of the economy and the introduction of innovations in agricultural processes.
