Students of Stavropol SAU - as part of the information teams Of the Russian Union of Rural Youth

Activists of the Stavropol regional branch of the Russian Union of Rural Youth held 13 seminars within the framework of the all-Russian project "Information and consulting teams of RSSM" with the support of the Ministry of agriculture of the Stavropol territory, Stavropol agricultural information and consulting centre and Stavropol State Agrarian University.

As a result of public meetings in the settlements of the Stavropol territory, an active squad of students of Stavropol State Agrarian University carried out an information consultation for 350 people in 5 districts of the region.

The main purpose of the program of activities of the project is to tell rural youth about the measures of state support for the development of rural areas and agriculture, about the possibilities of self-realization of young people in rural areas, as well as the system of training of young personnel for agricultural production. In particular, the following areas were considered: free support for start-up farmers or family livestock farms; subsidies for the development of intensive gardens; stimulation of young professionals and families living in rural areas; infrastructure development of settlements and a programme to support local initiatives.

Also, the program included discussions on various topics. The most intense among them were:

- development of physical culture and sports in rural areas;

- what grants are available to support young professionals and how can we support awareness-raising among the population;

- higher education in alternative fields of activity and its relevance in rural areas;

- the need to create consulting and engineering centres for the development of rural youth;

- the need for methodological support of business cooperation and development with the help of accompanying agribusiness management bodies, etc.;

- issues related to the possibilities of development of rural creative circles and sections in the context of the lack of specialists working on a permanent basis in the village.
