Young scientists of the Agrarian University "stepped into the future"

As part of the transformation program of Stavropol State University into the centre of innovation and technological development of the Stavropol Territory and the creation of the youth technopark “FoodNet”, young scientists of the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering faculty participated in the All-Russian scientific-practical conference “Step into the Future” organized by the ESL Student Engineering Society The organization and holding of the conference became possible thanks to the victory of the students of the electric power department in the All-Russian competition of youth projects of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh), as a result of which the guys received a grant of 200 thousand roubles to implement their own ideas.

For the needs of the laboratory of applied research, within the framework of the ESL student engineering society (SIO), and the youth technopark “FoodNet”, in 2018, equipment worth 200 thousand roubles was purchased. The equipment includes hand tools, turning, drilling machines, hand tools, a soldering station and a 3D printer. Acquired equipment and tools will allow students to implement their ideas, conduct research and experiments to transform engineering creativity into real popular projects.

The “Step into the Future” conference was held in the following sections:

1. Modern approaches to the introduction of renewable and alternative energy sources.

2. Prospects for the development of robotics and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

3. Modern agriculture, animal husbandry and progressive crop production.

4. Modern economic approaches in the agro-industrial complex (AIC).
