Interactive lesson on the basis of the strategic partner of JSC "Teploset"

Third-year students of the training course “Agroengineering” of the Faculty of Power Engineering of Stavropol State Agrarian University visited the strategic partner of the university Teploset JSC. The event was held in coordination with the General Director of JSC "Teploset" Egorkin Alexander Alexandrovich and dean of the Faculty of Electrical Power Mastepanenko Maxim Alekseevich on secure facilities of the enterprise.

Joint-stock company “Teploset” of the city of Stavropol is the largest heat supply enterprise of the Stavropol Territory. The scope of the organization includes the production, distribution and sale of thermal energy. The share of Teploset JSC in the total production and sale of heat for housing and utility needs of the city of Stavropol is 98%. The services of the enterprise are used daily by the population of the regional centre, as well as hundreds of enterprises and institutions.

Interactive lesson in the disciplines of Heat Engineering and Hydraulics under the guidance of Professor V.A. Khalyutkin, Professor of the Department of Physics and associate professor Yanovsky A.A., was held in the boiler room, which supplies heat to about 150,000 residents of the South-Western District. Students got acquainted with the device of a modern boiler house, the principle of operation of boilers, including the latest ones, controlled by electronic systems and controllers, as well as pumps and water deaeration devices. In the course of the lesson, an informative and fascinating excursion was organized, organized by Avdeev Viktor Nikolaevich, Head of the Production and Technical Department of Teploset JSC, and Gennady Ivanovich Masych, his deputy. Representatives of the organization spoke in detail about the equipment operating in the boiler house for many years and its proven equipment, as well as the modern installation stage, which will have to undergo a series of tests and checks before commissioning. The students got acquainted with the temperature charts of the coolant and were able to follow its path in the boiler room at each stage of the technological process, up to and including admission to the final consumer.

Visually and in detail about the features of calculating the amount of heat coming to the consumer, the hydraulic resistance of the sections of the heating network, the operating parameters of the boiler house and the emergency warning system, students learned in the modern boiler room equipped with the latest standards. In conclusion, the excursion part of the occupation head of the production and technical department Avdeev V.N. told the students about the prospects of employment of young professionals in the JSC "Teploset".
