At an extended meeting of the Department of Physiology, Surgery and Obstetrics of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Stavropol State Agrarian University, the dissertation papers of graduate students for candidate degrees in biological sciences, prepared under the supervision of Alexander Yuryevich Krivoruchko, were reviewed. In addition to representatives of the faculties of veterinary medicine and technological management, the meeting was attended by employees of the All-Russian Research Institute for Sheep and Goat Breeding, a branch of the North Caucasus Federal Pedagogical Institute headed by Marina Ivanovna Selionova, director of the institute, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Two papers were presented for consideration at the meeting: Elena Yuryevna Telegina's dissertation work on the topic “Polymorphism of the MyoD1 gene in Russian sheep and its connection with meat productivity” and dissertation work by Yatsyk Olesya Andreevna on the topic “Myostatin gene polymorphism and its connection with meat productivity indicators in merino sheep."
Both works received positive reviews; a high level of practical relevance and relevance of the research presented was noted. The dissertations were positively characterized not only by the staff of Stavropol State Agrarian University, but also by the director of the All-Russian Research Institute for Sheep and Goat Breeding, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences Marina Ivanovna Selionova.
Thesis works of Telegina E.Yu. and O.A. Yatsyk are recommended for presentation to the defense in the united dissertation council D 999.210.02.
