By order of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation of November 30, 2018 No. 335-r, Cherepanov Viktor Alekseevich Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Administration and Law, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Doctor of Law, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation was included in the Scientific and Expert Council of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
The scientific expert council was established to take into account public and expert opinion when making decisions by the CEC of Russia, analyze law enforcement practices, develop proposals for improving the legislation of the Russian Federation on elections, and identify targets for improving the legal culture of voters.
Long years of research on topical issues of Russian federalism and electoral law, considerable experience in state and local government bodies, direct participation in the creation of a state power system and regional legislation in the Stavropol Territory allowed Prof. V. Cherepanov to appreciate the high level of professionalism whose expert opinion is important today for decision-making in the higher echelons of power.
