Teachers of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture met with the parents of freshmen

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko. He told parents about the work carried out by the dean's office and in charge of the department for the adaptation of freshmen to the educational environment; summed up the preliminary results of the first semester. By tradition, parents of students who actively participate in the public life of the faculty and the university were presented with letters of thanks on behalf of the dean's office and curators.

The head of the consumer expectations monitoring department, associate professor Valentina Anatolievna Ivashova reported on the results of the sociological research “Adaptation of first-year students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University to university studies” in the first semester, where she noted the most important points promoting adaptation: a favorable situation in the group, support for supervisors and a dean , as well as the desire to learn. Of the circumstances that impede learning, the students noted the distance from home and the difference in the format of education from school.

However, the difficulties indicated in the questionnaires do not prevent students from mastering the disciplines provided for by the curriculum in the first semester. The teachers who came to the meeting told parents: associate professors of the philosophy and history department Vladimir Ismailovich Kurchev and Inna Nikolaevna Kravchenko, associate professor of the general agriculture, plant growing and breeding department Nina Stefanovna Chukhlebova and others. Senior curator of the course, head of the chemistry and plant protection department Anna Petrovna Shutko and deputy dean for educational work, associate professor Lyubov Vasilievna Maznitsyna told about the current progress of students in their creative life and their upcoming work in the next semester, opportunities for further education, practical training.

The curators of the groups are associate professor Elena Valentinovna Pashkova and the senior teacher Lyudmila Alekseevna Mikhno, while working in groups, they discussed in more detail questions of the progress and attendance of first-year students.

Traditionally, students presented creative numbers. On this day, the laureates of the festival “Young Talents-2018”, the academic choir of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture of the folk song ensemble “Lel”, as well as soloists Irina Alekseeva and Konstantin Spivak performed in front of their parents.
