At the Agrarian University they discussed modern trends in the development of a promising market FOODNET

On December 10, 2018 at the initiative of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex in the Stavropol State Agrarian University an event was held in the format of the discussion club “Modern trends in the development of the promising FoodNet market in the framework of the national technology initiative: key problems, challenges and solutions” of the objectives and directions of the roadmap for the Transformation Program of the Stavropol State Agrarian University "to the university center for innovation and technological Development of the Stavropol Territory.

The event was organized by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Doctor of Economics, Professor Kusakina Olga Nikolaevna, Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Doctor of Economic Sciences Kurennaya Victoria Vitalyevna, Head of the Project Office of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Director PRO-analytics enterprises, doctor of economics, professor Bobryshev Alexey Nikolaevich.

Representatives of the business community took part in the discussion club: Regional Director of «Orion» Alexei Kuzmin (Stavropol), economist of «Energomera» Julia Perepechenova (Stavropol) and head of the Department of Agricultural Production and Processing Technology, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Olga Vladimirovna Sycheva (Stavropol State Agrarian University).

The main topic was the discussion of current trends in the promising FoodNet market as part of the national technology initiative and the search for ways of its regional development aimed at reducing uncertainty and risk, as well as adapting commodity producers and final consumers to the requirements of this market in new economic conditions.

Welcoming word to all the participants was addressed by Kusakina Olga Nikolaevna, doctor of economic sciences, professor, who noted the importance of holding such events in order to popularize the key directions of the FoodNet market development not only in the production sector, but also among students.

Head of the Project Office of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexey Nikolayevich Bobryshev introduced those present with new, promising areas of the FoodNet market development. The director of PRO-analytics in his report “Development of a regional model of the FoodNet market in the Stavropol Territory” focused on key problems and points for further growth of the priority segments of the studied market.

A lively discussion was aroused by the presentation of Olga Sychyova, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor on the topic «Foreign Experience in the Production of Organic Livestock Products».

The practical focus was reflected in the report of Elena Alexandrovna Kosinova “Regional agri-food clusters as a form of integration of agricultural producers in the context of the development of the FoodNet market”.

Kuzmin Aleksey Sergeevich (Regional Director of «Orion») began his speech with an appeal to the student community. Students are the future of our region, our country, it is you who must study and promote new knowledge, including in the development of the promising FoodNet market and its segments, - said Alexey Sergeevich.

The speaker touched upon a whole range of problems: from training qualified personnel for modern agribusiness to resolving issues related to accelerated selection and organic agriculture.

In conclusion, the discussion club participants exchanged views, summed up the event, reiterating the key problems and focusing on the possibilities for further developing the promising FoodNet market in the new economic environment.
